Polly Waterfield

Polly Waterfield trained as a violinist, a Suzuki violin teacher, and an Alexander teacher. In 2007 she established an Alexander department at Uppingham school in Rutland where she still teaches. With Catharine Gunningham in 2013 and 15, she organised Spirit of Youth, a forum for teachers working with young people. She works with the choral scholars of the choir of King’s College Cambridge. She has written numerous articles for StatNews and the journal Conscious Control. Her main interest is in how we interact and communicate, both with pupils and other teachers, and on how
relationship affects learning.
